St. Gabriel parish upDATES
Thank you for joining our procession:
Walk with Christ
On September 26th, Saint Gabriel Catholic Parish celebrated the Feast of Saint Gabriel with a Walk With Christ.
I think our first Walk With Christ, in honor of Saint Gabriel's Feast Day, was very successful. Over sixty people came out to publicly declare and show their love of Christ. An echo of "They will know we are Christians by our love", told all that it was so. I was so proud to process in the presence of the Monstrance and the body of Christ. I was also proud to process behind our new church banner. This event was a public declaration that we are proud Catholics within our community. Someone said after Mass, that the Mass felt different. I think that was because we felt more connected as a parish community. A special thanks to all who helped to organize, to Father, the altar servers, our banner carriers, the Knights, and our photographer. Thanks to all who attended. Next year, we will present our faith to our community once more, on our annual Walk With Christ.

Mount St. Francis marks the Jubilee Year of St. Francis
|
From Jan 10, 2026 to Jan 10, 2027, the Church celebrates a special Jubilee Year marking the 800th anniversary of the death of St. Francis of Assisi.
Mount St. Francis Retreat Centre will mark the year with opportunities for prayer, pilgrimage, retreats, and community gatherings inspired by the Franciscan spirit. The faithful are invited to deepen their relationship with Christ through simplicity, care for creation, and service to others. This Jubilee invites not only celebration, but a deeper imitation of St. Francis through a Gospel life lived simply, faithfully, and daily.
